FlyForm Ltd and CEO Philip Davies have been shortlisted as one Wales’ four regional finalists in the category of Disruptor of the Year at the 2020 Great British Entrepreneur Awards. Selected from a long list of applications from across Wales, this award recognises four purpose-driven pioneers of change who look outside the box and are guided by their entrepreneurial visions to make a positive impact on society.
Founded in late 2015, FlyForm is a digital consultancy firm, led by co-founders Arron Davies (COO) and Philip Davies (CEO) – one of WalesOnline’s “2019’s 35-under-35” inductees. Since its early days, the company has quickly expanded to work with clients across the UK and experienced compounded annual growth rate of 261%. Earlier this year, the company received an investment from Lloyds Bank to fuel growth target of £1 billion by 2030. The company’s current clients span a variety of sectors, including government, financial services and healthcare.
“I am honoured to have been chosen amongst so many well-deserved peers to be up for this award. This recognition is a huge testament to the thousands of hours of hard work that I, my business partner and my team have put into growing this company over the last 5 years. We are encouraged in our unique approach to employee-and-community engagement and we remain committed to making more positive impact for the local economies.”
Started in 2013, the Great British Entrepreneur Awards recognises the hard work and inspiring stories of entrepreneurs and businesses in the United Kingdom. The Awards have celebrated some outstanding entrepreneurs who have gone on to become household names. Previous winners include the founders of BrewDog, Tangle Teezer, The LAD Bible, Clearscore & The Cambridge Satchel Company. The judging panel includes Hayley Parsons, who founded Go Compare and Cath Kidston, Lord Bilimoria of Cobra Beer, and Kanya King, the founder of the MOBO awards. This year, the regional heats will be celebrated online on September 23rd.
“Given what we’ve seen over the past few months, the 2020 edition of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards is arguably the most important. Now, more than ever, it’s vital that we celebrate the achievements of the country’s entrepreneurs and their determination in the face of such adversity.”
“These entrepreneurs have gone above and beyond in order to allow their businesses to flourish in extremely difficult times and it is a true honour to congratulate each and every one of them.”
